Our story
SimLice was founded in 2024 in the Faroe Islands, building on more than a decade of research into salmon lice population and dispersion dynamics.
By combining scientific expertise with practical aquaculture knowledge, we have developed a state-of-the-art management tool that models and forecasts lice dynamics at the farm-site level.

The tool supports salmon farmers in planning production cycles — including when to stock fish at sea, apply treatments, or introduce cleaner fish. Our technology helps reduce the need for interventions, lower overall lice levels, and minimize the impact on fish health.
By turning complex biological and environmental data into clear, actionable insights, SimLice enables producers to make confident decisions earlier, optimize operational timing, and improve both sustainability and profitability. The result is smarter lice management, healthier fish, and a more predictable production environment — giving farmers greater control in an increasingly challenging industry.
Let’s create something unforgettable together.
